Who are we

Our address is:

What personal data we collect and why we collect

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data displayed in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user proxy chain to help detect spam.

An anonymous chain created from your email address (also called hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Grafatar Service Privacy Policy is available here: After you agree to your comment, your profile picture appears to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload photos to the website, you should avoid uploading images while including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from the images on the site.

Contact forms

If you leave a comment on our site, you can subscribe to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don’t have to fill out your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will select a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is ignored when the browser is closed.

When you sign in, we’ll also set up several cookies to save login information and display options. Cookies last to sign in for two days, and cookies screen options last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will last for two weeks. If you sign out of your account, cookies will be removed to sign in.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and simply refers to the publication ID of the material you have just edited. It expires after one day.

Content built from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (such as videos, photos, articles, etc.). The content from other sites behaves in the same way that the visitor has visited the other site.

These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, ensure additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with embedded content if you have an account and have been signed into that site.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the email reset.

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This is so that we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in the moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights do you have on your data?

If you have an account on this site, or leave comments, you can request receipt of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also ask us to erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data that we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments can be verified through an automated spam detection service.
